Didactic strategy for the development of oral language in 4-year-old children of the initial sublevel of the Mixed Fiscal School Professor Odón Moreira Pisco

Abstract

The objective of this research was to propose a didactic strategy for the development of oral language in 4 year old children in the initial sub-level, due to the fact that at this stage it is fundamental that the teacher seeks to promote the development of language through the application of different activities, taking into account and respecting their pace of learning and capacity for understanding. The research has a quantitative approach, for which a questionnaire was elaborated and applied to each child by observing their behaviour and the different activities proposed. This questionnaire was evaluated by a total of 10 experts to give it greater validity. The entire population of 24 children belonging to the initial sub-level of the Profesor Odón Moreira Pisco Mixed Public School was considered. The results obtained reveal that a large percentage of children communicate fluently with their classmates and teachers, and that they are also able to narrate, ask questions and pronounce appropriately. It is concluded that the elaboration of didactic strategies allows teachers to carry out activities in a systematic way and children to enhance their learning and develop their oral language skills.
