The Impact of Digital Tools on Higher Education

The present research aims to identify various digital alternatives designed to support the educational processes of teaching and learning. It examines how these digital tools, due to their specific characteristics, possess the necessary qualities to foster collaborative learning, in coherence with various pedagogical theories. The research process also involves the classification of these digital resources in order to highlight how they contribute to the formative development of students. It is important to note that many of these educational digital tools have diverse approaches, and not all of them promote tasks that generate collaborative learning. Therefore, in addition to a detailed analysis, tasks are presented that, in accordance with various pedagogical models and the extensive application of connectivism, align with the needs of the actors involved in the educational process, both teachers and students.
