Importance of the enography of the San Miguel de Chade de Manabí site

The objective of this article is to study the cultural ethnography of the San Miguel de Chade community regarding the following aspects: housing, family, gastronomy and clothing, in which it is intended to rescue the customs and traditions that exist in the community, where it was possible observe that over the years the customs that this community has are being lost. The methodology used in this research is based on a descriptive study that focuses on different customs and traditions of a territory. In addition, the ethnographic method was used to obtain relevant information about the culture of the Chade community. The results were an ethnographic analysis that established criteria such as the classification of housing, gastronomy, family and clothing, in addition to four inventory sheets of intangible cultural heritage, which describe the resources based on their customs and traditions. Likewise, the value that the focal point is the corn festival and the Festivities for the Patron Saint Michael the Archangel was analyzed through the setting. Finally, it was concluded that a proposal should be generated to define strategies to make the heritage festivals of San Miguel de Chade prevail in the Jipijapa canton.
