ABSTRACT
The present investigation deals with the subject: Grafoplastic techniques as a strategy for the development of fine motor skills, of children from 4 to 5 years of Initial Education of the Educational Unit "Pachijal River" Canton Quito, Pichincha Province, school year 2019- 2020 The Educational Unit is responsible for educating and caring for children who are at an early age, giving them all the benefits for their future student development. However, teachers do not apply new learning techniques, because they do not have guidelines from the Institution which does not allow them to give updated classes, which is a negative aspect for children since they do not generate skills from an early age. Among the techniques used in regards to Initial Education are the grafoplastic techniques that are strategies used in the first years of basic education to develop fine motor skills, with the aim of preparing them for the learning process, based on practical activities typical of the didactic area, which include the participation of children, through drawing and painting. Teachers do not have a guide on which they can base to teach students grafoplastic techniques that allow them to develop their fine motor skills. It is important to develop the fine motor skills of the student since it allows small and very precise movements. The fine movements manage to stimulate the pulse, necessary for writing, as well as the delicacy in the manipulation of objects. Another important factor is to develop the ability to generate different levels of pressure when holding objects.
