ABSTRACT
This article examines the relationship between corporate financial management and the internationalization of goods and services, considering the impact this relationship can have on the performance and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The objective was to study how sound financial management can influence an organization's ability to undertake international expansion. The research was conducted using a qualitative, documentary-bibliographic research design and was based on a review of the scientific literature focused on financial management, international trade, and corporate internationalization. Through the analysis of various sources, relevant factors were identified, such as financial planning, access to financing, corporate liquidity, risk management, and the quality of accounting information, which directly affect the strategic decision-making of both organizations. The findings show how a company with a robust financial structure has a greater chance of success in the internationalization process, as it is able to manage economic risks, invest in innovation, and adapt to market demands. It is also clear that financial constraints are one of the main barriers to the internationalization of SMEs, particularly in developing countries. In conclusion, it can be emphasized that corporate financial management is a critical aspect of success in the internationalization of goods and services, as it allows for the optimization of resources, increased competitiveness, and guaranteed business sustainability in the context of international markets.
