Abstract

The role of the radio media should not only be to relate and comment on current events, on the contrary, being a medium that has the credibility and acceptance of being able to spread a news, it must have an investigation process. This academic article was conducted through a descriptive research, a qualitative approach, with a design non-experimental, cross-sectional, oriented to the exploration, description, and understanding, through interviews and observation and non-participant on the news ‘The news behind the News’ Radio Record, with the aim of analyzing the practice of investigative journalism journalists of the town, considering the treatment he gives to the information, before and after being issued, and the contrast of information that is developed in this radio media. The results reflect the lack of profound research on the news, to be a medium that is handled through the immediacy, don't do a data verification process in a comprehensive manner, and there is evidence of the little practice of investigative journalism, however, can meet most of the characteristics of traditional journalism.
