Journalistic sources and verification of information on Profe TV, of the Manglaralto parish

Abstract

The verification of information is not a new term within journalism, especially in the verification and investigation of information as a significant part of the work, a task and responsibility of the journalist and with society. In this sense, the research addressed the value of information verification, demonstrating the importance of journalistic sources for verifying information in the medium El Profe Tv, through the adaptation of methods and processes in the informative style, in which the channel presents reliability for the audience. The methodology of the Research is applied, the quantitative-qualitative approach, the descriptive design, for the field work it was carried out with the survey technique carried out on the subscribers of the Manglaralto Parish, in addition, the interview with the owner of the information channel digital, which allowed to know the treatment that the medium gives to the information before disseminating it. The research was developed with the purpose of knowing if El Profe Tv focuses on developing content with criteria of effectiveness, with a verifiable character, not only generating content, but also verifying the place where the events take place, that is, the place of the facts. As a result, it can be indicated that El Profe Tv has implemented techniques and instruments for the information verification process, for communicators the responsible use of digital tools is a sine qua non condition.
