Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a transformative tool in the field of education, especially in Higher Basic Education. This study aims to analyze the impact of AI on the teaching-learning process by evaluating its applications and benefits in the educational context. The methodology used includes a literature review of recent studies, interviews with educators, and the implementation of surveys for students to understand their experiences and perceptions regarding the use of AI in the classroom. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected, allowing for a comprehensive assessment. The results indicate that AI facilitates the personalization of learning, promoting adaptive strategies that respond to individual student needs. Additionally, an improvement in student motivation and engagement was observed when interacting with AI-based tools, such as virtual tutors and intelligent learning platforms. However, challenges were also identified, such as a lack of teacher training and unequal access to technology. In conclusion, the integration of artificial intelligence in Higher Basic Education offers significant opportunities to enrich the educational experience. Nevertheless, it is crucial to address existing barriers to maximize its potential. Continuous training for teachers and equitable technological infrastructure are recommended to ensure that all students benefit from the advantages AI can bring to their education.
